Two Ballrooms for Intimate Dinners and Large Galas
Our Grand Olympian and Vivian Ballrooms give planners options based on guest count and event format. The Grand Olympian can accommodate up to 450 guests, while the Vivian Ballroom can host up to 280. Both include pre-function lobby space that can be used for guest check-in, cocktails, or mingling before the main program begins.
Banquets of Minnesota is a flexible awards banquet venue in Minneapolis for smaller recognition dinners, sport banquets, as well as larger fundraising events, making it easier to plan the event you have envisioned.
Full-Service Staffing, Catering & Bar
Food and beverage service is handled in-house, which gives planners fewer outside vendors to coordinate. Our professionally trained chefs provide full-service catering, and both ballrooms include access to a fully stocked built-in bar.
We can help plan the meal around the style of your event, from hors d’oeuvres before the program to a full dinner service. Tables, chairs, linens, china, flatware, glassware, and other service pieces are also available through our full-service rental package.
Stage, Lighting & AV for Award Presentations
Our ballrooms at Banquets of Minnesota offer an elevated stage area, projector, wireless internet, podium, professional sound system, and microphone for presentations, speeches, videos, and recognition moments.
In the both ballrooms, permanent lit ceiling drapery elevates the space, so formal dinners and gala programs feel elegant without requiring as much added décor.
Both ballrooms can also be arranged around the flow of your program, making it simple to plan for dinner, awards, fundraising remarks, entertainment, and other parts of the evening.

Can we bring our own decor or AV vendor?
Yes. You’re welcome to bring your own centerpieces, and outside vendors may be used for décor, entertainment, photography, and other services. Outside DJ arrangements are reviewed separately and may require approval and additional fees. We do also have rentable centerpieces if you’re looking to keep your party supplies light!
Is a deposit refundable?
A $500 deposit is required to secure your date. The deposit is applied toward your final bill and is non-refundable.
How many events can the venue host per night?
We have two separate ballrooms, the Grand Olympian and Vivian, which allows us to accommodate events of different sizes. Availability depends on the date and ballroom schedule, so contact our team to discuss your event and preferred space.
