Dan Nelson brings years of food and beverage experience and knowledge to the leadership team at Banquets of Minnesota. With more than 36 years in the industry, Nelson's background spans throughout the United States from corporate hotels and country clubs to high volume nightclubs and sports facilities.
Dan has held the following positions in the hospitality industry including General Manager, Food and Beverage Director, Catering Director, and Banquet Manager. Dan has been recognized throughout his career for quality food and service. He has strong creativity and unparalleled attention to detail. Dan’s commitment and desire to provide an excellent customer experience is marked through his knowledge and understanding of the industry, giving each property he touches a competitive edge within the market.
Dan will have his presence at each facility during operations, assessing each area of the food and beverage operation.
Leslie is a twenty year veteran in the food, beverage, catering, coordinating and event planning business. In the past 20 years she has assisted thousands of couples, committees, and individuals in planning and orchestrating successful events from weddings, class reunions, birthday parties, business meetings, and sports banquets. She truly enjoys helping people and loves working with them from start to finish to coordinate their beautiful celebrations. Her event coordinating somewhat fell in her lap! She started as a Sports Director, coordinating over 500 volleyball teams for league play, then began using her organizational skills with meeting planning and wedding coordination. Her skill and dedication to making sure that events are executed professionally, yet personally, have created a comfort for the clients she works with.
Leslie currently lives in Blaine with her husband and rescued beagle mix spoiled pup. She loves to play volleyball and is immensely proud of her son who is in his third year of college at the University of Minnesota Morris. While she gets to coordinate and organize many events for her work, she also loves to entertain at home. Those events are laid back with many appetizers and usually a few decks of cards.
Gloria is entering her 10th year with the company. Over the past 10 years, Gloria has learned and grown professionally having worked in different positions throughout the company before moving into her current position as event coordinator. Gloria has been a banquet server, bartender, manager and offsite liquor catering coordinator and previously spent 8 years working in special education. She loves working with people planning weddings and other events and goes out of her way to get to know everyone on a personal level.
When she is not working she loves spending time with her family. Gloria and chef Daniel live in Ramsey with their 3 children. (Faith 13, Delilah 3 and David 2).
